It’s Been a Year

In March 2020, our lives took an unexpected turn. Suddenly, instead of waking up early, getting ready, commuting, and rushing to class while finishing my breakfast, I was waking up ten minutes before my class, washing my face, and sitting in front of my computer wearing my pajamas for (at least) the next three hours.
After a year living in a pandemic with health regulations, social distance rules, and spending ninety percent of our days at home, I found myself needing to look into how we, as a collective, perceived this whole experience.

By interviewing and asking participants to track their daily routine and emotions, It’s Been a Year is a project that investigates the lives of twenty-one college students and how the pandemic has changed them, encouraging the participants and audience to reflect, reminding them that we are not alone, and of the need to put things into perspective.
